I was able to boot properly after installing 3106 and installing Tools in safe mode. I have not tried to run in coherence on the 30" again.

Booting in Safe Mode and installing Tools there, then restarting worked perfectly for me. Thanks! (I was able to boot in safe mode because after resetting XP in parallels, it automatically asked me if I wanted to boot in safe.)

I would not recommend running coherence on a 30" with a Macbook Pro, it caused all sorts of problems for me with build 3106. I had to reinstall parallels. I noted my struggle in an earlier post. I believe the culprit is the Macbook Pro video card, it can't handle both OS's at full resolution.

I've had the same problem. I'm also having trouble downgrading to 1970, because after I install 1970 it tells me my drivers are incompatible.
