I can say that it is NOT just a pure USB issue. I can say this because I have my dad's MBP setup to Sync with a Treo 650 from within WinXP in Parallels using a USB sync cable and it works fine. I can also make use of PDANet with the Treo 650 from WinXP in Parallels on his MBP. And it works...
