How to expand my Parallels disk?

Also help with expanding disk I also need help expanding my C drive disk. I'm running out of room and would like to continue just maintaining one virtual hard drive (i.e., Drive:C). What is the easiest way to expand my disk. I'm not too familiar with Windows so any help would be grateful. I am...

Parallels Desktop for Mac build 3106 Beta 3 is available for download.

Latest beta (build 3106) still not working with Garmin Forerunner I downloaded the latest beta build (3106) and wouuld like to make a note that this beta build does not work with the Garmin Forerunner 205. However, at least now the USB device is recognised as "Garmin International" when I go to...

Parallels Desktop for Mac build 3094 Beta 2 is available for download.

Hmm...with the latest beta version of Parallels, I still cannot use my Garmin Forerunner 205, but the behaviour is a bit different. Here is what happens: 1. I plug in my Garmin to my USB port on the MacBook Pro 2. I hear Windows system beep indicating a new USB hardware has been detected...

Parallels Desktop for Mac build 3036 Beta is available for download.

Garmin Forerunner 205 NOT WORKING w/ latest beta Like many other users of the latest beta version, we still cannot use our Garmin to work in Parallels for Mac. In fact, the 5-10 second problem does come back. I'm running the Garmin Forerunner 205. I hope this will get solved with the final...

How Long Will Parallels be Lesster than VMware?

Does the VMware beta support GPS units like the Garmin Forerunner? I'm considering switching from Parallels to VMWare given the horrible support in Parallels of my Garmine Forerunner. Basically, my Forerunner is not useable in Parallels and I have to boot into Windows using BootCamp. Doh!

What Parallels Needs to Keep Me as a Customer

I hope Parallels is making headway with giving full support to Garmin GPS products like the ForeRunner 205. These are USB devices and they don't work with Parallels but works perfectly fine with Boot Camp.

How do I address this error about USB devices?

Put it this way, the error message is incorrect. OS X is not grabbing on to your USB device. Parallels simply has very poor USB support. After so many updates since the first released version, my Parallels 2.2 1970 version still cannot work with my Garmin Forerunner 2.05. Bottom line is...

Build 1940 of Parallels Desktop for Mac

I think a lot of us have been dying for better USB implementation. This latest build, 1940, still cannot work with my Garmin Forerunner 205. Is the USB problem such a difficult problem to solve? I hope not. Cheers.

How do I address this error about USB devices?

This has been a long standing Parallels problem. If you search the forum for "Garmin" you will notice that many Garmin users are having that USB problem. Parallels team has never, as far as I know, say anything about if they're working on the issue and when they project the problem will be...

Version 2.2 in the next week or two?

The "Macs Only" website announces that in the next week or two, the final release version of 2.2 will be out. I wonder, will my Garmin Forerunner 205, a USB device, be supported? Please, I hope so!

    refund for usb problems

I agree! I agree! i've also been thinking of moving to VMWare if Parallels does not offer full support for USB in the next couple of months. Plus, how about allowing CD and DVD burning in Parallels? Right now, the MacBook Pro's Superdrive reads as CD-ROM only. Another I/O limitation!

    refund for usb problems

They'll definitely need to provide full USB support in the next release. I think they're going to lose customers if they don't soon.

Garmin update works with latest beta

The beta update so far does not work with my Garmin. I already have the Garmin USB driver installed. I plug in my Garmin Forerunner 205 and Windows acknowledges the addition of a new hardware with its beep but Garmin programmes can still not see the Garmin.

    Problems after using compressor

Okay...I think I can answer my own question. Apparently (and I think this is a bug), I needed to totally quit Parallels after it has done all it needs to do. Then, I re-open the application and then I'm able to start my VM.

    Problems after using compressor

Great...I just used the Parallels Compressor and after doing all its thing it tells me it's fine. So I started the virtual machine and what I get is a dark screen with a few lines telling me about memory usage and nothing else. What gives? How do I have it restart?

How do I address this error about USB devices?

I believe this is a Parallels problem and not actually an OS X problem, so there's nothing we can do about it until the Parallels folks release an improved version.

Windows support for Apple's iSight Camera for next Public Release

Don't get this poll I don't quite get this poll's question. For those of us not on the Parallels development team, who wouldn't want iSight integration? Right? I mean, what's the reason for NOT wanting the iSight integration? Rather, the question should be, what kind of priority would users...
