    Booting Parallels from a Firewire HD?

    Is it possible to boot Parallels from a Firewire drive attached to a MacBook? It would be ideal to have all the Parallels stuff on a separate drive to keep the original one nice and clean, if that's the proper term. : ) Per an earlier post, will that mean getting a new install code for XP...

    Duh... Problem solved. Had to convert the Mac .dmg to a .iso so Parallels could read it...

    Can't install Windows on a MacBook

    I'm on my second disc now and nothing seems to work. This time I made a pristine disc image of the disc on a separate Mac before putting the disc in the MacBook. At about 70% of the way through the install on the MacBook from the CD, suddenly Parallels tells me it can't read the remaining 30%...

    Can't install Windows into virtual machine

    I keep getting "Input-Output" errors. Does that indicate a bad disc as well? I looked on the back of the CD and there are circular marks that look like uniform scratches that won't go away, almost as if when the disc was made there was something sharp working against the surface of the disc...
