    Release 3.0 and Apple Modem Still cannot get a dial tone with the Apple Modem. I can now get to the point of dialing, but the line is garbled. No dial tone recognized. I got one blue screen too randomly. I have seen the workaround, but this is something that should just work.

    I have had good luck with Profilic. Seamless. Attach from USB icon and use it.

    I keep trying without success. Best luck I had was with a bluetooth modem connecting using Apple bluetooth.

    I have been trying for months. I can get the Apple modem to work up until dialing but then get false static on the line and a no dialtone message. Modem works fine on Mac side.

    Apple Modem Again No BSOD but still static connection with no dial tone. Disconnect worked fine as OS X picked it up again, which is new.

    Figured this out. Also discovered that the Parallels install disables MacDrive6. After I uninstalled it, all was well again. On my iMac24, I had to remove the "Apple Keyboard Support" folder to get my keyboard to work again.
