Its really frustrating issue. It happens to me as soon as I start parallels VM (Windows 10), sound stops working for bluetooth or Macbook Pro (MacOS 10.15.2) speakers. An interesting side note if you're using an external monitor with speakers they'll work. The only solution to get sound back on...
