    Virtual machine driver failure

I'm running Parallels Desktop 2.2 (but this happened on previous versions), and whenever parallels is running and a run up CPU usage, the machine reboots. When it starts up again, I get a previous shutdown case of either 3 or -60. I also get this in the log at startup: Sep 24 08:15:12...

Duplicate IP problem w/2 mach running Parallels

I have 2 macs in the office on the same network. The second machine is using a copy of the Virtual Machine made on the first. I have changed the ethernet hardware address for both of them in the network advanced tab. Unfortunately, the DHCP server insists on giving them the same IP address...

MBP reboots with GA Parallels and Visual Studio 2005

Sorry - didn't check to see if it was only full screen mode. Yes, I had a shared folder mounted at the time, but I was not accessing it.

MBP reboots with GA Parallels and Visual Studio 2005

Last night, I was trying to fix a problem in a C# application in Visual Studio 2005. I was running the GA Parallels in full screen mode. 3 times in a row, within 2 minutes of launching Visual Studio 2005, the machine rebooted (doing different things - like double clicking on a file, or just...

Install Visual Studio 2005 reboots beta 6

I have 512MB allocated to the VM already, so that's probably not it. I rebooted and installed VS 2005 fine. Then, I went to install the doc, and it rebooted! I'm glad to hear others get the spontaneous reboots, but I'm hoping it gets fixed soon!

Install Visual Studio 2005 reboots beta 6

I was installing Visual Studio 2005, and part way through the install, the computer (an MBP) just rebooted. Is there anything I can provide to help figure this out? Can I change the VM settings?

    Control Click for Multiple Select

Has anyone figured out a solution for this? Ideally, we'd be able to switch between control meaning right-click and control meaning additional select. Most of the time I have a 2 button mouse connected, and not being able to do multiple disparate selections is driving me nuts! Ken

    Use EVDO internet connection ?

I understand that at the moment, you can only access the internet from a Parallels VM via bridged WiFi or wired ethernet. What I need to be able to do is connect to the internet through my EVDO wireless connection from a cellular carrier (via USB or Bluetooth). Alternatively, if I could hook...

Can't install XP on beta 4 on MBP 10.4.6

I'm trying to install XP SP2 on a new Virtual Machine in beta 4, and every time, it's a different error. Once, it rebooted the entire machine. Has anyone else experienced this? The failure usually happens during the second half of the installation with some error popping up. I successfully...

Mac Product Should be in APLHA Stage

Well, I'm a software developer too, and I've had excellent experience with Parallels so far. I think the fact that they call it a beta is completely acceptable. You should also note that other people are shipping emulators as final products that don't work at all!

Just preordered - but turn off that extended download option

I got a reply from Parallels support saying that you can always download it from Parallels - it's just a service offered from their payment processor (as mentioned before).

Beta3 - Mac mini - Win XP - Slow Rosetta

I haven't specifically tried this, but it would make sense, especially if you don't have a lot of memory. Rosetta is a RAM hog, and obviously, so is Parallels. Also, even with beta 3 some people are experiencing 20% CPU at idle.

Just preordered - but turn off that extended download option

It's ridiculous I really don't understand this - does it mean that I won't be able to download from Parallels and reinstall with my key? I've never heard of such a thing, and I agree - it is a turn off. I decided to not buy until I understand more about what the limitations are. To me...
