Parallels Desktop for Mac build 3036 Beta is available for download.

Just downloaded - just installed - just wet my pants Great work guys! You just squashed VMWare for me. If only Parallels had snapshot support like VMWare. Not a deal breaker for me, but it is great for unit testing my code. Great work! -David

    G4U - 2.1=OK, 2.2beta2=ERR

Well, I could compile the kernel with networking support under parallels but I couldnt get g4u to compile. But I did find this nifty menu driven g4u system that seems to work under parallels (i'm restoring an image right now as I type this). Check it out if you need to restore from a g4u...

    Looking for Cool Parallels Stories

I'm running SAP R/3 4.7 SR1 on Windows 2003 Server in Parallels. It's wonderful! Presentations on Keynote and then switch to SAP GUI pointing to the local instance of R/3. Fast and quick. It's been a life saver. -David

VMWare Beta for OS X registration available

Dude, Chill. I've been a customer of Parallels since beta 3 and it's a great product. There's been a lot of discussions on these boards about what VMWare may bring to the table. I'm only passing on what I felt was relevent.

    Host OS Performance

I bought a 1 Gig stick from Crucial (http://www.crucial.com/) and upgraded my 20" iMac from 1 Gb to 2 Gb. Everything runs great and haven't had one problem yet (paid only $150 for the ram - Apple charges ~$300.00).

    Expiring License Key

I purchased just before Beta 3 and never received an 'Official Key' or a licensed key. I sent an email to support last night asking the same question. I'm still waiting for a response. I'll post the reply as soon as I get any info.

    Some Disappointments with Parallels VM-XP

Hi Paul. Don't know if I can help much or not but I'll try. From my experience, any Rosetta program really takes it's toll on OS X. Let's face it, it's chomping alot of time off the cpu. XP while doing something productive doesn't really like to play in a sandbox with less than 1Gig of...

Will Drag and Drop between VM / Mac OS X be in the final version?

I 2nd that! I don't think that would be a show stopper for anyone wanting to purchase Parallels Workstation. But to have the ability to drag a folder over from one OS to the other would just be so, so sweet! -David

Anyone using more than 1 gig ram. Share your Experiences

You bet! You bet it's worth it!!! I ran Parallels Beta 1 on my 20" iMac with 1 Gb of Ram and it worked great. The issue that I have is that when using Parallels, I'm not 100% in the VM. I bounce back and forth from Firefox, xCode, and back to the VM when needed. So I took the plunge...
