I notice that xorg.conf the file In my Ubuntu vm is quite lengthy and includes many screen resolutions. could I copy that over, and also the prl_video.so driver file? any others I would need?
I have Zorin OS Lite installed, but its resolution is stuck at 800x640.

Turning off Smart Mouse worked for me too. Thanks for the tip. Now to figure out why I have no internet connection after the latest update to build 9344 in Parallels 5.
I noticed that my WinXP BootCamp VM with 2 CPUs freezes, while my WinXP file-based VM with 1 CPU doesn't freeze. I'll try reconfiguring my BootCamp partition to only use 1 CPU.
