    Parallels 6 regresses Quicken scrolling

Joevt, I've restored to v5 so that preference just nags me to upgrade to v6. I'm looking for a notification when v6 is updated to fix this scrolling bug.

How will we find out when this next version is available? Is it announced somewhere?

Permissions error during copying of .pvm

Also, the Mac Archive Utility seems to back up VMs without error messages. Compresses the backup too.

    Parallels 6 regresses Quicken scrolling

Here is a link to a KB article about downgrading. http://kb.parallels.com/en/8913 Good luck though. Fortunately I backed up my v5 VMs before I did the upgrade so downgrading meant just restoring them. When I try to start one of my upgraded v6 VMs under v5 I get a message that there is no OS...

    Parallels 6 regresses Quicken scrolling

All settings are exactly the same as under Parallels 5. Video Memory 256, 3D and vertical sync both on, tried both 1G and 1.5G on a 4G MacBook pro. None of this seemed to make a difference. I've reinstalled Parallels 5 and the scrolling is back to normal. I only have one Mac. Is there any way...

Permissions error during copying of .pvm

Actually, I found that the tar command works without giving the permissions error. Curious though, if I followed your advice would the restored VM work without the Windows Disks folder, or would I need to manually create it after the restore?

    Parallels 6 regresses Quicken scrolling

I bought Parallels 5 for Mac because it handled scrolling in Quicken much better than VMWare's Fusion. Parallels 6 seems to have regressed and scrolling is now much slower. Is anyone else seeing this and are there any work-arounds?

Does PGP WDE slow down Parallels

PGP WDE seems to slow down Parallels 5 I'm trying the same thing. I find that it takes 1:21 to resume my Windows 7 VM from an encrypted drive vs only 0:29 from a unencrypted drive. After it's resumed it takes 0:27 to open Windows Explorer vs only 0:03 when the VM is on a unencrypted drive...

    Password Suspended VM

Is there any way to password-protect a suspended VM? I'm running Win7 as a guest under Parallels on Mac. When I suspend the Win7 VM it doesn't enter sleep mode, so the password setting there doesn't help. ... Jim

Securing a VM in Pause or Suspend State

Is there a way to password protect a VM that is paused or suspended? I would like it to ask for a password before it becomes active again. The VM is Windows 7, so requiring the Windows account password would also be acceptable. Thx ... Jim
