On my MacBook, I'm running a Windows VM using Parallels. I'm trying to set the MacBook's built-in screen as the primary display for the VM, but it's not allowing me to do so
Good day,
I created a macOS(Ventura 13.3.1) vm on my MBP M2 Pro to use as my development environment but I'm struggling to get my external monitor, a Dell U2723QE, to work nicely with it. Currently the clarity is so bad it hurts my eyes and I just can't seem to find a workable configuration for...
We would like to select the monitors we want to use with Parallels Ras as we can with Microsoft RDP and the "selectedmonitors:s:0,1" settings in the RDP config file. We have connected two external displays to our notebooks and wanted to use the internal display for something like MS Teams which...
I have several virtual machines on my MacOS host, and I have 2 displays. Some virtual machines always start on display 1, some always start on display 2. I don't know why. It also seems this setting is not changeable anywhere. I would like to configure my VMs to always start only on display 2...
Hello,
It would be very helpful to me to have a feature to disable external display.
I have a workplace setup for my Macbook Pro 15" with one external monitor and one TV.
I work mostly with the internal display and the external monitor, but sometimes I need the TV also.
The problem is that I...
I use focus on window feature and I love it. However, when I use extended display. That would be very useful to see the focused window on each screen, rest should be faded as it is in single screen. Otherwise second screen becomes useless when this feature is on.
Hello guys,
we use Parallels with a Macbook Pro and Windows 10 2004.
And everytime we start windows the main display we set the last time is now set to antother monitor.
Its annoying...
Does anybody knows a walkaround or a .bat for changing the main display at the beginning.
Thank you
I'm on an iMac (with Japanese keyboard and a second monitor) remoting in to the Win 10 desktop at my company (also set for Japanese keyboard layout).
I used Parallels Client for two years with this setup, and everything worked well until I updated the Mac to Big Sur.
Now no matter what...
I tried installing Parallels to my Mac and the window keeps fluctuating. I tried reinstalling it with little success. Does anyone know what it means when the window keeps shrinking and expanding over and over like this?
I have a mid-2015 Macbook Pro running MacOS Big Sur (11.1) and Parallels 16 Pro Edition (16.1.2) with a Windows 10 Pro (20H2) VM which is docked (lid closed) to an Apple Thunderbolt Display via Thunderbolt 2 connection.
All is well, computer sees and uses the monitor for display, audio, and...
A "cool" feature would be the ability to control the fan speed of your mac for times when your laptop gets really hot from watching videos or running certain applications.
I thought I give PD15 a try and upgraded today on Mojave 10.14.6:
- Unfortunately nothing is working the way it should. The parallels hypervisor is still slow as hell, so I reverted back to Apple's hypervisor.
- The main problem point however is that Windows was completely unusable as soon as I...
I am trying to get multiple monitor support working on my Pixel Slate (Chrome OS v73) with the Parallels Client. I've tried the Chrome OS Parallels Client Extension, native .deb based Parallels Client for Linux, and the Android app and none of them seem to support multiple monitors in Chrome OS...
I only want to show Windows (parallels) on my monitor
Meanwhile, I want to access both Parallels and Mac OS via share screen share/chrome Remote Desktop
Of course, if I am doing things via Remote Desktop on Mac OS, it should not appear on the monitor, as the monitor is showing windows only...
I'm running Windows 10 using Parallels full screen mode (not coherence) on my 2017 MacBook Pro and I cannot get my monitors set up correctly. So far I have tried the following:
- Configure the Retina Resolution option to use 'Best for Retina display' - using this option the text on my MacBook...
I would like to suggest an addition to the Parallels Toolbox. What would be very useful is a macOS activity monitor utility similar to Windows' "Resource Monitor." Windows Resource Monitor allows a user to no only inspect what is using resource on the system (e.g., disk activity), but it also...
