mouse locks

I've had Parallels on my iMac with M1 chip for over a year. Has worked excellent until today. Today, my mouse began to lock. I tried some suggestions I found on here. (did not work). I tried alt+ctrl+delete to see what happens. Parallels went completely black. I cannot find how to restore...
