Lately my Apple Trackpad is not working AT ALL.
The forums offer no solution, only some that work for erratic or jumping scroll on trackpads, but I have not seen one in my searches of a solution for when it just stops scrolling.
Apple Mini M4, Tahoe 26.4.1, Parallels 26.3.2.
Hi all, so I just installed Parallels 20 on my new M4 Pro MacBook Pro and noticed a weird bug with the trackpad which occasionally is popping up and bugging me. Basically, if I'm scrolling in an app, it seems like the scroll direction will randomly flip on me. I'll be scrolling down, the app...

Hey friends! I found myself looking for a solution to fix smooth scrolling while working on a visual studio project. Overall, I've actually found visual studio to be quite usable under parallels, but I did need to configure smooth scroll to match the hosts own scrolling sensitivity. If you're...
As advertised in Parallels Desktop 14 (and 15) release note, the trackpad's pressure sensitivity support was introduced :
Support for pressure sensitivity in Windows. You can draw in Windows apps like Microsoft PowerPoint, Leonardo or Photoshop depending on the pressure you apply to the...
I would like to be able to use trackpad gestures in my Windows 11 VM. Right now my trackpad is only recognized as a virtual mouse in Windows 11, with no way of recognizing a trackpad is attached, and thus no way of setting up gesture support. I have found various articles/forum help that explain...
No trackpad or keyboard in Windows10 22H2 on Macbook Pro High Sierra 10.13.6 and PD 17.1.7. Same condition with external Apple USB keyboard & mouse connected. Both work fine in OSX.
Works for a short while in Win10 PD fullscreen but then fails. Doesn't work at all in less than fullscreen...
Hi everyone,
Running a ventura VM on ventura, there are some limitations that are known of course but i have a couple of questions
The time is not synching with apple time servers, does anyone else have this issue?
Trackpad configuration not available, is it normal?
Any chance they will be...
My trackpad works correctly outside of Windows 11. My Bluetooth mouse works as it should I guess while in Windows but my trackpad does not select anything or allow me to click on anything. When I do click, it seems to bring up an alt right click kind of menu. The pointer is fine.
I didn't...
I am using a Macbook Pro M1 2021, and only using the built-in trackpad, to run a Linux guest.
I understand that Linux/Ubuntu has moved towards using libinput, and that this means that trackpad scroll speed is not customizable.
Further, the virtual mouse provided by Parallels is not a trackpad...
Whilst admiring Parallels for what it is, how beyond it sets itself apart from the competition, I can't help but feel that the trackpad support has been neglected, and it's long due for a proper implementation. MacBook users have one of the best trackpads in the market, but the implementation in...
I'm using a MacBook pro, M1 ARM Chip.
I'm running a Linux Ubuntu Server ARM64 Guest with XUbuntu as Desktop environment.
When I'm two-finger-scrolling on the touch pad, the scrolling is extremely fast (unusably fast). Linux-internal settings are already set to slowest scrolling speed. Is there...
Hi,
I was wondering if there's any chance to use trackpad gestures running windows on parallels. For example when I try to use the most common one, the three fingers swiping up, I activate mission control instead of activating the multitasking in windows. Thanks
I'm new to Parallels, but not to virtual machines. I'm excited to finally be able to run a clean OSX VM in which I can test installation procedures and other software development / debugging!
.. but the first snag I've hit is I put an application (within the MacOS guest) fullscreen, and can't...
Parallels Access works surprisingly well, letting me get actual work done through my Mac using my iPad. Sadly, gestures with the iPad's trackpad, like two finger scrolling to scroll my Mac's screen, do not work as expected. Please fully support this new official keyboard and trackpad from Apple.
Hi
Im using Parallels 13. I have windows running on parallels with Visio as the main App.
When using Visio, I was expecting to be able to use the MacBook Pro trackpad to zoom into the drawing. The zoom-in gesture would be to use 2 fingers (thumb and forefinger) in an outward motion to zoom-in...
Hardware: On iMac Pro with 'Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad' and 'Magic Trackpad 2'.
Both host and VM are macOS 10.14.5 using 'Parallels Desktop 14 for Mac Home Edition Version 14.1.3 (45485).
Everything works fine until the VM enters Paused mode.
I work on other (non Parallels apps) for a...
I have parallel v 13 and Windows 8.2.1.
The trackpad will not work within Windows.
Does anyone know if I can fix this issue or do I need to buy a mouse?
Hi!
In MacOS with Parallels, the trackpad in windows works very nice.
But in Bootcamp it doesn't, it stutters and doesn't feel smooth.
I guess that's because of the tools/drivers from parallels?
Is it possible to use them in Bootcamp?
Best regards
I use a Magic Trackpad 2 with Parallels and frequently find apps, especially idle games like Star Trek Timelines and such scrolling too fast. Turning OFF "Smooth scrolling" in the "Mouse & Keyboard" options under the VM settings helps it a little to make it more clunky, but it's not enough...
