10.4.9 disables shared networking

10.4.9 breaks shared networking

With 10.4.9 installed, I cannot get an IP address using shared networking. This is fine at home via airport, but unacceptable on the road as I need to share my EVDO expresscard.

Help help help, on the road in a week.

I just installed 10.4.9 with build 3188 and my shared networking works just fine. I'm on a Macbook Pro C2D.

Do your parallels specific network entries have IP addresses? I'm also on a C2D MBP with the same parallels version.

Nevermind

Well, looks like a full shutdown of my VM + a reboot of the mac fixed it. It would appear the Parallels DHCP server didn't start correctly after the 10.4.9 update.

Well, looks like a full shutdown of my VM + a reboot of the mac fixed it. It would appear the Parallels DHCP server didn't start correctly after the 10.4.9 update.

Works fine here, too, after reboot on both the Mac and VM.

All green lights here after restart. Pity though, my uptime was close to 3 months
