Downloaded 1896.2, ran uninstall, ran install, restarted MacPro (2GB, 2.66 Ghz).
Double-clicked Ubuntu.pvs -- The operation could not be completed. Unexpected error code -10660. Double-clicked Winxp.pvs -- same. Started Parallels.app. Now can open either .pvs file without "unknown error."
Alas, both still display the same symptoms as before: within 5 seconds of starting the VM, the VM window disappears with no message or diagnostic of any kind. Just "poof" -- back to the properties view.
