Hello guys
I installed 2x Application Server for Terminal server two days back in one our regional offices in Jordan and everything was working fine great. ie, acessing the applications published through a web portal from external networks all around in Jordan.

Once I returned to Kuwait, I found the client fails miserably to connect to the 2x application server with the Subject line error.

As I was able to access the Application server from internet outside of Jordan LAN, I am sure there should be something wrong I had done which doesn't allow certain clients or certain networks (though I had flexed all the firewall rules in order to allow the connection requests)
Could anybody please suggest a work around?

Application logging shows interesting entries

After enabling the application server logging I found the following: Whenever the client from Kuwait tries to establish a connection to the 2x appication server, the log shows an entry for the LAN IP address of the client rather than the WAN IP address of the client.
Obviously when the server replies to the connection request, I believe the responses are discarded because the LAN IP address of the 2x Application server and the client LAN IP addresses are totally in different ranges!!!
Any thoughts?

A work around?

Duh should I call it a work around?
Anyway after some brain storming I came to this conclusion and solution.
The 2X application server listens to clients from the same subnet, for example, if your 2x application server belongs to 192.168.0.xxx/24 network, regardless whether you are accessing the application server through a LAN or WAN connection, if the client belongs to same subnet (????) the client can establish a connection and everything works fine!!!
Let me explain with a sample here:
My jordan 2x application server has the following network parameters:
IP address: 192.168.0.200/24
My router has virtual server entries and port 80 and 81, 3389 are forwarded to this application server.

From Kuwait, I had changed few "things" with my wireless router, and made adjustments to issue IPs mimicing the same subnet in jordan (192.168.0.xxx/24)

Changed the 2x Application server client settings with pointing the server to the public IP address of Jordan modem router and, peace on earth, it just gets connected to the 2X Application server...

However, as this was just a work around, I would like to hear some explanations about it...anybody?

if it is an issue with your network provider (which would go with the network error generated), contacting them to investigate any changes would be ideal amienn.
