We would like to use the 2X SSO component here, but we already have our msgina's customized by another software suite. Is it really a hard choice between one or the other, or is there any way to allow functionality for both to work? Thanks.
this depends on the other component and the operating system you are using. under windows xp 2x gina will call the previously registered gina and does not break the chair (however some products might not work correctly) under windows vista credentials providers are used and multiple can coexist with less problems. you should test it and if it works then deploy it.
Ok I will try it. So I gather that the 2x gina "shim" basically will just pass the calls over to the original msgina after picking off the credentials?
Yes it does not effect the system but some third parties solutions do break the chain.. no wonder there is a large warning
