3150 -- Where'd my OS go?

I downloaded and installed the new Beta release (Build 3150). Much to my dismay, I realized upon running the software for the first time that this was not merely an upgrade, but rather, had overwritten my previous version of Parallels. Of course, what makes this particularly troubling is the loss of my existing installation of XP and, most importantly, all software and files that had been on that VM.

Yes, I should have backed up prior to the install but as I understood it all Parallels versions will simply upgrade previous versions uless you manually delete them first.

Does anybody have any insight as to how this might have happened or, more importantly, how I might be able to recover my lost software and files???

Thanks

Found it!

The soluton for this had already been posted in another thread.

Hi Greg,
You should go to Finder, folder Documents->Parallels->Your VM Name and double click on PVS file. This will load your VM into PD and add it to VM catalog.

N.B. - For some users the PVS file might be in Library->Parallels ->You VM Name rather than in Documents.
