3186 - Failed to initialize Virtual Memory subsystem

After updating, this is the message I get upon trying to boot my XP installation. The error screen suggests rebooting my Mac, which didn't work. Any ideas? The error code it gives is (2). My setup is a MacPro 2.66 3GB ram Mac OS X 10.4.8.

I feel your pain. I just got this very message and it's the *first* time I've tried to start my VM since my last mac reboot yesterday. Parallels is just about the biggest most useless piece of absolute crap I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Bar none!
 
To follow up on this post, I resolved the issue by uninstalling, then re-installing, then I rebooted my Mac. I have had very good results using Parallels, with just a few hiccups. I have never used an OS or software that was perfect. I am happy with the product.
