3188 Not Recognizing my old VM

I installed v 19xx off the CD that I purchased at Compusa--everything installed great. Downloaded 3188, shut down everything and now Parallels comes up asking to create a new VM and apparently doesn't recognize the old one (the .hdd and other files are there). I really don't want to install Win XP again. Ideas?
 
Exact same problem!

I've been frustrated for a couple of hours now with the exact same problem. Have more important things to do on a beautiful weekend here.!

ugh. I sent an email but it was Friday night...they don't reply on the weekends.

It's a great product - but it seems everybody I know is in the same boat...not just me.

I hope it will recognize the old .hdd as I'm not going to re-install, reset options, etc. again.
