32bit or 64bit for Vista?

Hi

I have a Macbook Pro (with Intel dual core 2 processors).
I want to go out and buy the correct version of Vista (yes I know...) to make a Parallels VM.

Do I need 32 or 64 bit?
Anyone? :)

32 bits.

Parallel does not support virtualizing a 64 bit CPU.

And I believe you may need to buy the ultimate version, as Microsoft's EULA forbids any Vista home installation in a virtual machine

I just read the Sticky about using home editions of Vista! WTF?
I need a rethink. I'll probably go for XP Pro now. Grrrrrr! B&^**!!£ Microsoft.

The question remains - 32 or 64 bit please?

Yep! I just read the note. :-O I'm unimpressed to say the least, as I chose Parallels as an affordable way of accessing my Windows apps. :(

OK - I threw caution to the wind and installed Vista Bisiness (32-bit of course). It seems fine but it certainly reminds me why I switched to a Mac!;)

Done! :)
 
I will wait a year before going from WinXP sp2 to Vista and for Vista SP 1

Probably not even then unless on a new machine
