4.0 Installation Problem

I recently purchased Parallels 4.0 and am in the process of installing it. As per your instructions, I did not remove v3.0 before beginning. The Parallels 4.0 red icon "downloaded" to my desktop fine When I double click it, the Parallels Desktop 4 window opens, but when I double-click on the install icon, nothing happens. Help!

Could you please open Console Application, double click Install Parallels Desktop Application, and sae files install.log and system.log and attach them here?
 
Hi -

Thanks for your reply. After I wrote you, I finally was able to accomplish the update installation. But now, when I try to open Parallels Desktop, instead of opening normally, it's asking me to create a virtual machine and install an operating system. I already have XP installed on Parallels v3.0 and my programs and documents lie within. How do I get to my "old" virtual machine? Help! Thanks in advance.
 
Please follow steps bellow:
1. Navigate to VM folder and double click pvs file
2. It will open Parallels Desktop and asks to convert - backup and convert - cancel operations
Continue with with operations selecting one of the choices,
I recommend to select backup and convert
