-5006 error?

When trying to run Parrallel Tools, I keep getting the following message:

An error (-5006:0x80000ffff) has ocurred while running the setup Parallel tools.

It gave me this error in the previous Candidate version and in the last version too. Please help. Thanks.

I get the same kind of error when I'm trying to re-install Parallel Tools after upgrading to GA except my error shows:

Error when working with registry.
The installation will be stopped.

RegDBQueryKey(SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVerson\RunOnce) failed!

Error code: -2147024894
Message text: The system could not find the file specified

I figured out how to fix it. Here's what I did just in case anyone else gets this problem.

1. I ran 'regedit' and navigated to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVe rson\RunOnceEx

2. Right-click on the folder and rename it to 'RunOnce'.

3. Restart the computer and enter safe-mode (F8). Uninstall Parallel Tools.

4. Restart back in XP and install Parallel Tools like normal.

I'm wondering why the reg entry showed RunOnceEx. I've never messed with the registry at all. Weird.
