"._._" and "._" in start->Programs shorcuts names?

    Anyone else see shortcuts/filenames appear with underscore characters? HTese shortcuts don't work, and they just clutter up the start menus -- any ideas how to stop this? Runig 5582 on tiger 10.4.11. Thanks -- Richard.
