£ sign in Windows XP virtual machine

Dear All,

I can type the £ sign perfectly in OSX but when I swap to any programme in XP it comes up as a hash.

I have searched on the internet but found no good answer to this query. I am using the apple keyboard with numpad.

All my settings on both systems are set to UK English but it still comes up as the American layout in XP.

Doesn't help but hopefully this will bump so someone can offer a solution? Where is the £ on the Vista Keyboard in my Parallels virtual machine

If you only need to put the pound signal in occasionally, you COULD just hold the ALT key and type in 0163 on the keypad.
