Activation Key not recognized

Hey gang-

I just purchased an activation key for my trial version of Parallels Desktop. I am running the latest Release Candidate of Parallels Desktop. I copied and pasted the key exactly, but I get this message:

"The activation key cannot be used with the current version of Parallels Desktop"

How do I get Parallels Desktop to accept my activation key? I checked and made sure the key I bought is for Parallels Desktop for Mac, so that's not the problem.

In the emails you received it states that the key you purchased will work on the final version and NOT the betas/RC versions. You need to use a temporary key for these.

Thanks Rugby- below is the exact email I received (with my key sanitized of course.) It doesn't say anything like that, but I'm guessing you are exactly right on why Parallels won't accept it. Thanks!
