    Hello,
Thank you for contacting Parallels Support.
A Windows product key is a 25-character code used to activate Windows. It looks like this: PRODUCT KEY: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
A Parallels Desktop product activation key is a set of 30-characters. It looks like this: XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX
Note that Parallels Desktop for Mac does not include Microsoft Windows. A license for Parallels Desktop for Mac is the license key that allows you to activate only Parallels Desktop, the license key isn't supposed to activate Windows.

You shall be able to install and run most applications on an unactivated Windows. However, note that an unactivated Windows comes with limitations such as reduced functionality, annoying reminders, lack of official support, potential security risks, and non-compliance with licensing agreements.
It is generally recommended to activate Windows to access all features, security updates, and official support from Microsoft.

A Windows 11 Pro/Home license key can be purchased from the Microsoft website here: https://www.microsoft.com/

You may consult this article for more details: https://kb.parallels.com/9003

    Thanks
