Activation windows 10 pro not possible

I installed my Mac new an buyer yesterday the newest version of Parallels (11).
After clean installing windows 10 from dvd and using the old upgrade product key from it, today a massage displayed, that activation not is possible.

I called Microsoft and they said, that using windows 10 in a parallels window n e v e r will be possible longer than 30 days, because activation ist not possible, The reason for it ist, that parallels always creates new hardware id`s. Only with bootcamp you can use win 10 on a mac permanently.

Is this true? So what i have to do tu run win 10 in a parallels window?
 
Hello Michael,
Windows 10 can not be activated with an older version key, instead you can upgrade to Windows 10 by following this article.
All that you need is to have Windows 7 or 8 or 8.1 installed from which you can upgrade to Windows 10.
