activation windows xp pro

Hello! I'm having trouble here after activating Windows under Parallels Desktop. After doing it, I can't manage to get Windows work; it keeps asking me to activate the product. If I try to activate it again, it says the product's already been activated and goes back each time to the welcome page where I can log and where I'm asked again to activate Windows. Is Windows or Parallels the problem? How can it be solved? thanks a lot for your reactions
 
Did you try to activate it via phone?
Explain this issue to an MS-employee and ask to be given a new activation code, maybe this helps.

ps: this was just reminding me to activate my own copy of XP and while writing this, I did it without any problem ...
 
Okay have a copy of XP Home with COA etc. It has been used on a couple of builds and has required a couple of re-installs. Just tried to activate this latest install and was told I have reached my activation "limit"......

Okay what is this and how does one get around it or am I been grabbed by the short hairs by M$?
