Add New Hardware to Parallels Configuration

I'm using Parallels Workstation v2.2 on a WinXP Pro-SP2 (host OS).

I have two ethernet cards. The first is for a home P2P network; and the second is for the Internet. When I went through Parallels "New VM" dialogue for new a guest OS install (WinXP), Parallels choose the NIC for my home P2P network.

How do I add a second ethernet card to the Parallels configuration so I can connectivity to the internet?

Hello,

when you launch Parallels (but do not start Windows) open the Configuration editor of the VM. Then, press the "Add" tab in the bottom of the window and when the new window opens choose "Network Adaptor". Thus you will add a second network adapter to your VM.
 
being a dummy, how do I start parallels without starting windows? All I have is the Parallels golden infinity sign labeled Windows XP on my desktop!
I am trying to install a serial port so palm destop with hot sync with my PDA.

if your virtual machine starts up immediately when you click its alias on the Mac OS X desktop, do one of the following to open its Configuration Page:

* While pressing the Command key, double-click the virtual machine's alias.
* While pressing the Command key, start Parallels Desktop from the Applications folder. If you have more then one virtual machines, select the virtual machine you need to launch in the Select virtual machine dialog and click the Select button.
