Advice needed : install windows xp professional or windows 7?

Hi

I am new to Parallels and would like to ask for some advice please. Would it be better to install Windows 7 or Windows XP Professional sp1? I'm asking because I thought I read somewhere that it was not recommend to install sp1 on Parallels.
