After XP install my cd/dvd drive thinks it has an XP disk in it

Bit poster
I installed XP today viz the disk image route rather than directy from the XP disk.

Now in My Computer the D drive indicates that the XP disk is in there (it isn't) and when I click on it it acts as if the dsk was in there.

If I put another disk in the cd/dvd drive XP won't read it - it insists that the XP disk is still in there (which it isn't).

Any ideas anyone?
 
Hello,

please go in Configuration Editor of your VM (Edit -> Virtual Machine). Select 'CD/DVD-Rom' tab. Check if 'Use CD/DVD-Rom' is selected.
