Airport process running wild...

Hi all,

I'm not sure this is at all related to Parallels but I thought I'd just put it up here and see if somebody else is experiencing the same problem.

Very often (but not always) when I wake my MacBook from deep sleep I immediately get an airport process running wild taking up most of the processor cycles. If I don't quickly kill it the system soon becomes unbearably unresponsive and a hard reboot is necessary.

I've never seen this problem on any other Mac I've owned and since Parallels was installed soon after I bought this one it's impossible to say if this behaviour was introduced with Parallels or is a problem with my Mac OS installation, but since Parallels install a lot of network thingies it's one of my prime suspects

Since I use Parallels on a daily basis for work I'm kind of reluctant of doing the whole uninstall / install process in trying to resolve the problem.

Any others having similar problems?

Same problem here!! I don't know if is related to parallels installation.

It is safe to uninstall Parallels, experiment, and reinstall it. The uninstall will not touch your VM(s) or preferences; it just removes the app itself and disables the startup stuff it installs.

Uninstall, and restart your Mac, and experiment. Reinstall (an restart your Mac) to use Parallels. You can repeat this as needed to help track down the problem.
