    Please help!!! During the installation with parallels i encountered that problem.

    an error has been encountered that prevent setup from continuing. setup fail to install the product catalogs. this is a fatal error. the setup log files should contain more information.
    press ok to view the setup log file


    Can someone help? What are the other ways to installing Windowns XP using paralles for a Mac?

    Hi Marc,
    it is better to contact Microsoft regarding this issue. I could find only this KB at Microsoft support pages that relates to Windows XP specifically: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321801; but it is hardly your case. A suggestion from Parallels would be to create ISO image of installation media and try to install Windows from it: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4917 .
