Hi, I have had a good search for a tweaking guide or someone that has the same issue as me. I have Windows XP installed with the very latest version of Parallels and Winamp. Call me Crazy but Winamp and the coherence mode is the ONLY reason why I want to use Parallels and the sound performance is DIRE! It skips every 10 seconds and I have played with buffer settings and monitored the CPU on the windows box and it never goes above 17% but still skips. Please please please tell me that this is cureable Thanks in advance Danny Bee
After playing around with my VM for hours tweaking sound buffers and such like I installed a different XP image. I was using a XP compressed with NLite to save space and it appears I got rid of something crucial. I am using another XP disc image and it works like a charm. I am now truely loving Parallels! (Looking forward to good DirectX implementation too!)
