    Hello,
I'm new in this forum :) and tried to find threads relating to my problem but hadn't got any answers ...

    My problem:
I installed the trial version of Parallels Workstation for Windows Version 2.2 Build 2112 on base of Windows XP and want to install eComStation 1.0, 1.1 or 1.2.
But I get the same trouble at all:
    1. booting of the installation cdrom shows up the eCS in the upper left corner followed by the full eComStation boot logo
    2. I tracked the loaded drivers until \ECS\BOOT\MOUSE.SYS
    3. than it freezes the host system and I've to reset the hole computer

    Any hints?
Shall I change parameters in the boot options menu of eComStation installation cdrom?
    If yes, to what values?

    Friendly regards
    rexxy

    New state:
I edited the CONFIG.SYS in the BOOT OPTIONS MENU and remarked the line where MOUSE.SYS is mentioned ...
And now it starts installing ...

    Was that the solution?
I'm not sure and looking forward to the end of installation phase I ...

Some more hints will be useful ...

    Hello Andrew,
thanks for your quick reply, but the linked tip didn't really help in my case, hardware virtualization is not possible on C7-processors (like mine), so that choice was disabled (or off) before.

As I mentioned elsewhere, make sure you assign the ecs|os/2 to
the drive letter 'C:'. I wasted a lot of time trying to use the same
letter I used on my PC.
