Anyone figured out the Applications/Favorites menu?

It's there.. it lists the applications currently running...

In Parallels Tools there's a section for favorites...

How do you add programs? I've searched every configuration and contextual menu I can think of and haven't found a way. I'd love to not need the start bar at all. I have "Launchy" which is synonymous to Quicksilver for windows, but in windows you still need the damn menus for certain things.
 
It's fairly simple. Just click in the dockbar. And choose 'keep in favorites' in the context menu. Or you can simply choose to 'keep in dock' your application. For now you can think about your windows apps just the same way you think about you mac one's. It's fun :)

yes, that is simple, its probably the only contextual menu i didn't check.

however, I was hoping for a more precise way to manually add things (I use a lot of shortcuts etc to mapped network drives and such.) Being able to manually add things to this menu from the windows filesystem would be nice.

I'm not talking about anything fancy, but just like a list inside the parallels tools in the windows task bar with "add/remove" etc. would do nicely.
 
On a further note, you should have a way to create so called "droplets" as other applications have deemed them. Perhaps be able to generate such a droplet from the items in the favorites. This way this would provide a means to people to be able to place shortcuts to launch windows applications on the OS X side (I.E. $HOME/Documents/Windows Applications)

This way I can have Quicksilver index this folder, and be able to use Quicksilver to launch my WinXP applications.

This would be the ultimate in seamless integration... Not requiring the start bar for ANYTHING anymore.

If you would also like to add to this "Seamless" integration, you could also have a way to specify an icon to use in the application switcher (cmd-tab) for applications in the favorites menu. Then I don't have to stare at an ugly scaled windows icon...

My oh my! I should look before I open my big mouth...

You guys think just like I do ! "Windows Applications" folder with .app files for all of the applications run in the VM thus far inside the VM folder. Nice job!

I would still like a way to manually create these though, but so far so good!
 
Upon opening those .app folders I can see that I can probably manually change all of the things I want to. But some way of automating this would still be nice... For exmample, I have shortcuts to specific folders in explorer, which right now cannot be done with the "Favorites" since it simply maps to the currently running application.

But atleast you're keeping the configuration simple and abstracted, I like that. Allows for people with a little elbow-grease to go in and do whatever they want.
