Anyone had success moving their virtual image to a different Mac?

Just wanted to know before I gave it a shot...has anyone transferred their virtual image between different Macs? Like from a Mini to a MacBook or from a MacBook Pro to an iMac. I'm hoping it is easily transferable because then I would be able to keep it on my external hard drive for use between my different Macs.
 
Should work fine. I've not done it myself, but what I understand is if you copy the entire VM folder over, it should work on the other machine.
 
That's the beauty of the chipset emulation engine: it's consistent across machines, so Windows shouldn't notice that it's been moved.
 
I've opened my Parallels virtual machine on a Windows box for a brief time, just to do it. Worked fine for me.
