Any one else having problems with ArcGIS Explorer running in Parallels? (This is a virtual globe sort of like Google Earth that runs only in Windows).
Sounds like maybe it works if you set up Parallels to work from a BootCamp installation.
See:
http://www.ogleearth.com/2006/12/run_arcgis_expl.html
But with the standard Parallels installation (as a virtual .hdd), all I get is a white globe. Or sometimes the imagery with large patches of white.
Some details:
Mac Book Pro 2.6 GHz (early 2008 model)
4 GB RAM, 512 MB VRAM
Mac OS X 10.5.2 Leopard
Parallels Desktop for Mac v3 (build 5584; with directX support enabled)
Windows XP Pro SP2
.NET framework 2.0 SP1
ArcGIS Explorer 9.2 build 450
Any advice appreciated. Thx.
