Assigning memory to the VM

I am currently running Windows XP on my VM using Parallels 4. My mac has 5 GB of RAM and I am trying to assign 2GB of RAM to the VM. However, when I go to the configuration settings, it will not let me adjust the amount of RAM allocated to the VM. Currently, it only allows 512MB. What can I do?

Are you trying to adjust the RAM when the VM is on? If so, shut down the VM and then try adjusting the RAM.
