Attaching from Vista to anotehr iMac

This should be easy but I cannot seem to attach wirelessly from my Mac laptop running Leopard while on my Vista VM to my downstairs iMac running leopard. Can someone patiently walk me through the proper settings. The Laptop is able to easily attach to this other iMac when in the nation Mac-OS but I must not have a good understanding of the proper steps to use in Vista. I am not sure how to setup the wireless within Vista and I guess I do not know the way to map a drive either. Can someone lead a rookie through this? Do I have to grant permissions or make some sharing option changes somewhere. I have never used Vista before.
