I am running XP SP2 as a parallels VM. The client machine is used on the reception desk and performs every function perfectly, but one! After re-booting / when starting the VM it will not "seize control" of or RE-connect a USB -> Serial device. This device is connected to the hotel telephone system and logs, bills and reports on guests calls - so it is vital to the running of the hotel... Before anyone pipes up it is NOT viable to train every member of staff to keep checking / reconnecting manually. Surely this feature makes a lot of sense!!
