In virtual box, I can set up usb devices to be captured automatically by manufacturer and device id. My device will change both manufacturer and device id over the course of a few minutes. I see a way to assign a usb device currently connected to be assigned to my vm, but the device may switch personalities faster than I can capture it using a gui tool. Is there a way to capture by specifying the manufacturer and device id?
