Parallels User

Hi all
A while back I had real issues with a beta where coherence didn"t work and once in Windows I could not get the cursor to release back to the mac.
Reverted to the earlier stable version and all was good.
Haven't used P for a while and today start up offered an auto update. I asumed this would be stable so downloaded and upgraded. (Build 3188)
To my horror the cursor issue is back.
Have to capture the cursor to log in to Windows but once in I can't get out to update the tools without shutting down the VM.
What am I doing wrong ? (Have unistalled and re-installed)
Can some feed me the Windows command line to install the tools from the floppy within Windows ?
Many thanks.

Eric

Hi Hugh
I wish I could just Install The Tools. Here's the dilemma I find.
Install Tools as I understand it requires you to have Windows running under an admin users log in.
Catch is that XP doesn't auto login without third party add ons. So it comes up with the log in screen.
From here it requires me to click in the OS Window to activate.
But on the macbook it doesn't respond.
At this stage Ctrl Alt release the cursor and keyboard back to mac.
I have to choose Apple Internal Keyboard and Trackpad from the USB devices menu or button to get a working Win mouse.
At this point I have keyboard control to intiate the login in XP.
But as soon as I do they Ctrl Alt no longer works to release the mouse back to the mac os.
In turn means I can't choose Install Parallels Tools menu item.
The onluy way out of the XP OS is turn off the VM.
As you can see there seems no way except within xp via the floppy to install the tools.
But when I browse in Xp to the floppy there are no tools to install.
How can install the tools in this scenario ? Am I missing something obvious ?

Kind Regards
Eric
