Bad problem

I managed to trash the virtual hard disk under parallels.

I was getting some errors telling me there was not enough room on my disk. During shutdown, it got stuck in install mode, installing windows updates. I got frustrated and reset it. I guess that was a mistake, but it was hung and not going anywhere.

Now, I cannot boot into XP.

Is there any way I can recover some of my data from this drive? Can I crack open the drive and recover files?

sounds like you'll need to build a new VM and then mount the original broken VM as a second drive to access the data.
