Bad Temporary Activation Key

Well... I wanted to test out the new version, so I installed it and got an temporary activation key (I have 3.0). Unfortunately, it doesn't work. It says it is expired and I'm stuck with a VM I can no longer access.

I believe they just put in the wrong month number... but I'm not sure.

START DATE : 2008/10/11
END DATE : 2008/10/26

That '10' should be an '11.' I sent in a support request, but given the turnaround time I've come to expect from Parallels I have no idea when I'll get help. I'm not going to buy it until I try it... but in the meantime I am locked out of my VM.
 
I have the same problem. Just upgraded my version 3.0 trial to version 4 trial, got new key and it says its expired allready.

UK date is 11/11/2008 today...key I just got states...

PRODUCT : Parallels Desktop 4.0
ACTIVATION KEY : ***************************
START DATE : 2008/10/11
END DATE : 2008/10/26
 
Yep, same thing with me. I signed up for a trial account and the key has expired. I have the same dates as a previous poster and i'm also locked out of my VM.
 
Count this as a me too, except I'm here in the states. Todays date is 11/11/08, however my trial key information is as follows:

PRODUCT : Parallels Desktop 4.0
ACTIVATION KEY : XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX
START DATE : 2008/10/11
END DATE : 2008/10/26

So as far as parallels is concerned, this trial key is already expired.

Additionally some of the pages I encountered while going through the download process still state "Beta" and "release to master", this makes me wonder if this is still a beta release...so far I'm inclined to believe it.

I've been pondering a switch to VM ware due to speed and 3D issues, so the 4.0 release is very interesting to me...but as it stands, it might as well not exist.

Please help.

Same issue here, I registered today and got these dates:

START DATE : 2008/10/11
END DATE : 2008/10/26
 
had the same issue, but requested a new one through the app itself and the new one was dated right :)

try again!
