best installation choice

Hello all,

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I am considering installing Parallels 9 on my iMac OS X 10.9.3. I already have Windows 7 installed via Boot Camp but don't use it all that often. I know that I can import my Boot Camp install into a Parallels VM, but what I want to know is if I would be better off uninstalling from boot camp and starting from scratch. I'd rather spend the time up front insuring the best performance, but I don't especially like spending time doing something for no technical advantage.

Install from scratch, importing from bootcamp will leave some leftover behind like Apple Bootcamp drivers.
