Best way to update to 3186 from 1970?

I am going to update from version 1970 to 3186 since it is no longer a beta. I have had trouble with some of the previous betas. What is the best way to do this?
 
That's easy:

1) Wait for 3186 to be available for download.
2) Download it
3) Open Parallels and shut down Windows in all your virtual machines
4) Install the new version
5) REBOOT YOUR MAC to load the networking components
6) Launch your Windows VM
7) Install the new Tools
8) Reboot Windows
9) Your good to go!
