Black screen on Parallels 10

I followed the instructions on 'KB 113823 Virtual Machine starts with a black screen' but I can't even start windows in safe mode by pressing F8. Also, I followed the instructions 'KB 118732 How to boot virtual machine in safe mode' and the option 'select boot device on startup' is not selectable. Therefore, I am stuck with a black screen. Any solutions to this problem?
My Parallels version is: 10.1.4 (28883)
I am using Windows 7.1
and Mac OS is 10.10.2

Please follow the steps suggested below:
1. Start Parallels Desktop - Do not start Virtual Machine.
2. Go to Virtual Machine configure http://kb.parallels.com/117287 > Hardware > Boot Order > Check Select boot device on start up.
3. Now start Windows 7 > Click your mouse inside the Virtual machine Emulator > Start tapping F8.
4. You will receive advanced repair options for Windows 7.
5. Choose Safe mode to continue troubleshooting.
