Just started to use parallels and after using couple of times to check emails, after turning off and turning back on shortly after, I am only getting a black screen with nothing else and windows is not coming on. Any ideas?
My black screen happened after updating firmware. I have not got a satisfactory answer yet, but I created a new machine and the new VM has worked fine. Don't know if this is a help.

If you have more than one VM then make sure the correct one is selected. Otherwise, a quick reinstall of Parallels will probably confirm that you need to reinstall windohs.
